I'm OK With Investools |

I've been with Investools for about a year and a half. I went to the 2-day seminar, paid the $2,000.00 and then about a year later paid $5,000.00 for the Basic Options course. I've been trading stocks with real money for about 6 months. I just started the options education and don't know enough to trade for real yet in options. The virtural trading rooms (I purchased stocks and basic options trading rooms) have been very helpful. The sales people are somewhat agressive in trying to get me to upgrade to the PHD program. I told them I'm not ready to upgrade yet because I still going through Basic Options. If they ask me again I will say "no thanks" again. I am not intimidated by agressive sales people and I am not a "lay down". I was a used car salesman in the 1990's so....whatever. I'm now pretty busy trading stocks and I love it. It's exciting and it's brutal sometimes. So far I've had weeks where I made over $7,000.00. I've also had weeks where I lost $10,000.00. In the six months of trading real money I have broke even. I was able to make back all of my losses. I blame my losses on being an inexperienced trader. Investools didn't make my lose. I've learned a lot from the Investools website. I also use other websites for market news and stock info like Yahoo Finance, MSN Money and CNBC.com to name a few. I watch CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg on TV incessantly. Investools is only one part of what I need to do to be successful. My online broker is thinkorswim which in owned by Investools. thinkorswim is a great trading platform and caters to option traders. Commission for trading stocks is $5.00. I problably won't sign up for anymore education programs with Investools because they cost too much. The Toolbox is great so I will continue to pay the $50 per month subscription. Investools never led me to believe that I would make easy money. They told me over and over that I need to formulate my own plan depending on what my level of risk is. I think too many people are just looking for a way to make easy money and get rich quick. When they find out it takes a considerable amount of work and lots of research, they scream, "I've been scammed!" Baloney. Stop being a propeller head and either figure out how to do it right or go back to flipping burgers. |
