SMC is what it claims to be - no more and no less. If you join the E-Merchant Club though, I think you are on shaky ground. Though SMC promotes the E-Merchant Club as the only websites that are integrated with their order system, they are separate companies - not one and the same as some reviewers have insinuated.
Do get the basic membership, get your own domain name, and put your own website together using a good webhosting provider that has an easy to use site builder included, so that you do not need to know html to build your website. I use EcomPlanet and found it easy as it can integrate with the PayPal order system (Very Important Factor).
Never use E-Merchant Club as they are just "cookie cutter" websites that all look so similar that no one will buy from you! That is where all the bad reviews come from. They didn't want to do the hard work themselves, but they expected lots of money in return. I would ask them how they advertised as well. It takes either money or hard work to make more money. Short cuts usually fail.
I have dealt with SMC for over 15 years and never found them to be dishonest or a scam. I suspect that the "sour grapes people" were scammed by the guys that SMC took to court because they used SMC's good name and set up a site that was an MLM type of deal. The REAL SMC is NOT an MLM opportunity at all! I do several online businesses and, if SMC HAD an affiliate program, I would be in it from day one!
I didn't go for an E-Merchant Club built site because I KNEW it would look like a thousand other sites.
To succeed with SMC, roll up your sleeves and do the hard work and you WILL EARN MONEY. Not enough to get rich, but it will supplement what you are making now. I found them to be exactly what they say on the infomercials. Not a Scam! |
