The only time you need to order merchandise in advance is if your selling at flea markets, etc., you can sell thru the catalog. Shipping is not that bad. Unless rates have gone up within the past couple of months when the rates increased, shipping is $10.00 for an entire order if everyting can be shipped in one box. That isn't bad if your ordering more than one item or a large item. The buyer pays shipping. They also drop ship which means you never have to handle the product. I have done that several times . SMC is getting a bad rep with those who didn't give it a chance or don't really know anything about it. You are not forced to buy anything you aren't interested in and do not have to invest in their web sites. It is not a get rich quick thing but you can make money, depends how hard your willing to work at it. If you enjoy selling then it can be fun. I have been a member for several years and have enjoyed their products. It is much better quality than the Dollar Store, as one person said she shops. As for the person who said they lied about getting started with only $25.00 that is true. When you pay the first 25.00 they send you the kit and you can then begin selling. They set up payments until the membership is paid in full then after the first year it's a yearly fee of 35.00. I have never had a problem with SMC. Everything is explained up front when you join, there are no surprises. |
