I attended Becks original tax lien seminars inthe San Francisco area back in the late 70's Although John Beck was one of the worst public speakers I ever met his materials were good and I bought some tax liens in Michigan like most Real estate gurus half their info is BS and half of it does work! I am proof I made millions in real estate , not tax liens. There is money to be made in tax liens but it does require WORK, and time. I know John and some of his associates have purchased houses for only a few hundred dollars. It is not EZ and the average person is not willing to peresevere. I would not pay any guru more than a few hundred dollars fror his CD's , books , etc Any of these mentoring programs are overpriced and usually not even taught by the guru but some paid employee who is probably still living in a rented apartment. Do your research, there are dozens of good books out there, read them and come up with your own strategy for investing. Unfortunately most people are not willing to do proper research but are willing to get scammed in alleged "mentoring" programs. As for Beck he always appeared to be a very honest person, I think he himself has been scammed by these infomercial/telemarketing promoters. |
