As if outdated CDs with hundreds of dead website links weren't bad enough, as soon as you have the CDs the phone calls start. If you are gullible enough to sign up for the rest of the program, you can expect: 1) You will be signed up with a "coach" to call you once a week and supposedly teach you the ropes; 2) you will be set up with an LLC corporation to "protect" your private assets while you do business under the LLC name (assuming you have any assets left after you deal with these people); 3) be set up with a tax firm to supposedly prepare your quarterly reports and your annual returns. It seems it never stops each step of the way leads to more and more expense. The coaching sessions are more like a brief visit with a friend. You will learn absolutely nothing you couldn't get from reading the original material you receive, and you get the pleasure of dealing with a supposed expert who has not made a dime in this business except for his/her salary as a phone operator for this company. And, the real kicker--you will be charged ongoing monthly fees for the Land Vault (which by the way has been inoperable since late in 2007); Monthly maintenance fees for your LLC (whether you are making a dime or not); Monthly fees for your CPA who is supposed to be filing your "minutes" for the corporation and sending quarterly tax payments for your "income" which in most cases will be non-existent, but you still pay nonetheless. And, all of this is carefully set up to get you past your 60-day time limit for filing a credit card dispute. In my case, this has resulted in $7,178.66 in credit card bills just for the first two month's of this scam. By the way, if you have less than $10,000 to invest, forget about bidding for tax deeds. There is a $5,000 minimum deposit necessary to even participate in the deed auctions, and the minimum bids are a whole lot higher than the $150-$350 you are led to believe by the infomercials! |
