Hello folks! Complete scam! Classic Bait-and-Switch! I bought the progam of books myself, which were as minimal as I expected though the generalized info in them was true, but the kicker was what came with the intro package.
The invitation to the ball, the all-mighty 1-800 number that would get me my ticket to riches beyond my wildest dreams. I just can't believe it took me 2 weeks to finally get a price out of them for the mentoring. I guess I should feel worthless because they only wanted to rape me for $3500...naaaah!
I'm good at what I do, so I will get recorded calls between myself and their sales staff, and I will be posting them to the web for all to hear...for only $39.95 plus $19.95 s&h. Okay, tasteless joke...there will be no charge to hear these unprofessional, classless idiots.
I have never dealt with such distasteful and rude people in my life. Lets just say they can't let things go without having the last word. There lack of intelligence starts to show when you keep them on long enough for them to run out of script lol. These are not licensed real estate specialists, but people who answered classified ads to work in call centers.
That's right, you get transferred from cubicle to cubicle until you reach the "closer" who hooks you in. Their three-tier call transfer system says it all. I've witnessed it first hand at a vacation package call center. Reception - profiler- closer. The secretary (receptionist) is useless to the scam but is usually someone who is willing to work for minimum wage and her boyfriend has a good bud connection.
The profiler, in this case the one who wants to make sure you're dedicated and can be a good candidate for their next infomercial, and then wants to know what credit cards you have and how much your limits are, makes slightly better than minimum wage and sometimes even gets a commission if he has to save the closers ass. That's if he's in his cubicle in the first place and not doing bumps in the bathroom every 30 minutes or so.
By the way, they need your card limits not only to give you a price for service based on your credit, but also because if they overshoot the limit the card will decline and suspicious activity will be noted on your account stopping any transactions until the card company can reach you. Some cards will, some won't. They want to get the transfer right on the first try. In this case, they also want to leave you about 20% on your limits and I'll explain shortly. The closer is the big headset in the call center. He's the one who makes the most commission and money.
Typically, this is usually someone who has tried to sell legitimately in the field of product they are selling, but couldn't succeed, which in this case is washed out, unethical realtors who either lost their licenses or just never knew what the hell they were doing in the first place. What makes their system worse than any I've seen is...it doesn't even end there.
Basically, their mentoring program consists of you, the buyer, buying properties deeds at 80% of supposed market value from them, which were already purchased by them for pennies on the dollar. Does it all make sense now? They don't drain your card off the bat because they have to leave you enough to take their worthless properties off their hands.
Cheap property is everywhere, but there is a reason its that cheap. You're not being signed up for mentoring...You are paying for access to John Becks worthless properties that are in turn sold to you and you get stuck having to try and sell them at online auctions, hopefully to someone who knows less about real estate than you.
This is perhaps the most elaborate real estate scam to date, and as far as anyone can tell, it is legit. Unethical...yes, Deceptive...you betcha....but damn this guy is creative. I will keep everyone posted on when I'm ready to put up my site. You will be amazed at some of the scams that are out there. All the info above is based on my personal experiences these past two weeks with the John Beck sales team.
