I must admit I paid several hundred of dollars in the 80's for Robert Allen's first No Money Down Course. I never made a penny from anything provided in the material, so I should have known better. However, I have been hipnotised enough by his late night infro-commercials to think maybe there was something really to his program.
Anyway, this week I received an email from Robert Allen. His offer this time was a membership for 7 days for just $1! At the end of the 7 days you could cancel the membership or continue for $39.95. I thought what the heck, I'll give it another look.
I proceeded to fill out the personal information and was starting to get spectical when it asked for my banking information. The form stated it was necessary, just to confirm that I had a valid checking account. As I continued through, I was bombarded with offers for other deals, each one more expensive then the next. I realized this was just a scam and tried to exit out of the web page. Mind you, I still had not accepted or confirmed my information nor that I even wanted this offer at any point. There was of course, no option to exit. I immediately phoned the customer support line and told them I did not want this offer and to cancel it immediately! I was given a cancel confirmation #.
Here's the thing.... Robert Allen has a hold on my checking account for $39.95! Not only was I never informed that these funds would be froze, of which I would never have agreed to, but I had a confirmation that the order was canceled. That was 4 days ago. Now when I call the customer support phone number, no one answers and all the mail boxes are filled. Gosh, I wonder why?
I am on disability and have very limited funds. Because of Robert Allen freezing funds in my checking account, which I never authorized, I cannot purchase the medicine that I must take 3 times a day to live. Nor can I buy gas to put in my car to go to the doctor.
Where does this guy get off? How can it be legal to freeze funds in a person's checking account without any authorization what so ever?
I don't mean for this to be a sob story, but people need to be aware, this guy is a major scam artist. Do not be fooled like I was. Do not be taken in my his clever wording. Do not think that all of us "other people" must just be stupid and that this would never happen to you. Be warned, if you have any dealings what so ever with Robert Allen or his organization, THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU! In the end he will take your money and you will have nothing!
There is one piece of real estate that Robert Allen doesn't have yet, but needs very badly.... one with bars on the windows and barbed wire around the top of the fence, so the rest of society is safe from him. |
