Ken's Course is a Good Start |

I bought Ken Roberts course "The World's Most Powerful Money Manual & Course" seven years ago and opened an account with his brokerage firm, Main Street Trading. He is definitely a "purveyor of hope". His course is a great place to start learning about commodity trading and his methods generally work (like his 1-2-3 formations and 50% retracement rule). However, because the methods he presents are very basic it is unlikely that anyone who only takes his course could consistently avoid false moves in the market (false 1-2-3 formations). Subsequently, it is probably impossible for anyone to survive only trading his course material. However, if someone moved on to other systems like the Elliott Wave, one could put the concepts Ken teaches into perspective and use them successfully. In fact, a few months ago I noticed one of Ken Robert's 1-2-3 formations (the essence of his course) in the Corn market. This observation combined with a little knowledge of the Elliott Wave Theory and it could have been obvious to anyone that a really nice bull market was about to begin. I got out of that trade a couple months later with a 4,000% profit. This was essentially a Ken Roberts type of trade. However, you do need a little more knowledge than he provides. Take a couple of other people's courses in combination with Ken's course, and you will possibly have a workable trading system.
Main Street Trading no longer exists. It was sold to Refco Futures. Refco in turn sold its business to Man Financial when Refco went bankrupt. Although Main Street Trading's commissions may have seemed high. They were similar to other full service brokerage firms and were completely negotiable just like everyone else’s are. |
