I got one of these offers in the mail about ten years ago-`97. It came from East Africa though, I think Kenya. It came in a regular postal envelope, and printed on a wrinkled piece of paper. Their story was that they found some kind of precious metal mine and needed my help way over here in the US to fund their efforts to mine the metal.
Their offer was that if I sent my bank account info they would deposit a bunch of money into it. Then we could "go into business together." Or some such hogwash.
The problem, besides the obvious mularky, was that they gave no information on who they were or why they picked me to help them.
