I located my high school sweetheart online, after 26 years of being apart. By coincidence we had both been divorced 4 years to the month, and had not been on a single date. We were each others' first love when she was 16 and me 17. She was in Maryland when I found her and me still in Texas. We have 5 wonderful children between us all of whom get along wonderfully. After all this time, she had kept the promise ring I had giver her in 1976 and I still had our cameo picture. I put that ring back on her finger (she wouldn't have any other one) on June 10th, 2004 on my birthday (her idea!) and now we are going to be each's *last* love. Sounds like a fairy tale I know. Feels like one too. Online dating might not be all it's cracked up to be but for finding the one you were supposed to marry in the first palce it can't be beat! |
