I heard a story about a Ponzi scheme on the above mentioned show about Polish guy named Jan-something-or the other. I guess the "Poles" aren't as stupid as Archie Bunker made them out to be, because for awhile, he was really stringing them along, saying they'd get their money back and to be patient. After a while, though, they got tired of it and had him taken to court for it. He really was a "stupid Pollack" to think he'd get away with it forever. He is now doing time.
One prisoner said that rumors had been flying around that he'd molested a child. He'd been attacked in prison and nearly died: a guy slashed his neck and nearly got the carotid! An elderly couple he had scammed said that he should have died.
There was one on Forensic Files how a guy had drowned his wife in the bathtub, then said that she fell and hit her head. He was in some kind of medical supply business. |
