Infusionsoft Shopping Cart ReviewIt's often been said that you're judged by the company you keep. In the case of Infusionsoft, I find it interesting that they only compare themselves to the following: If Infusionsoft wants to promote themselves as an "elite" solution, they should not limit their comparisons to "non-elite" companies and companies that do not even compete in the same realm / application. Now to their credit, Infusionsoft does have some unique technology in their CRM module that nobody else has. Infusionsoft allows you to really micromanage your autoresponder lists and customize the mailings based upon specific criteria that you set up. And if you're looking for this specific technology, then Infusionsoft is the "go to" guy. This can be a very powerful technique if you take the time and manpower to get this going but frankly, I find there are very few people that truly know how, or care, to manage their email lists to this level of minutia. But if you're not looking to micromanage your email lists, then you really need to question why you're spending an inordinate amount of money for a shopping cart system that underperforms the competition in the other technologies / functions offered. For example, the Infusionsoft affiliate program in my opinion is one of the weakest systems out there. There is no sales notification so affiliates have nothing to keep them motivated to keep selling. The affiliate reports and admin centers are simply not "affiliate friendly" and I know 1st hand of at least one instance of an affiliate account simply "disappearing" ...with the sales and commission history as well. Now I don't know about you, but when my affiliate account simply "disappears" along with my commissions ...so do I. I can't imagine too many affiliates sticking around after that happens. And what was the Infusionsoft response from technical support? They had none ...no idea how it happened and no possible way to retrieve the data. Huh?!? ...no data back up system in place? But I won't judge or condemn Infusionsoft for this one instance as even the worlds best companies and people make mistakes. Here is what I will judge them on: Monthly Fees - Amongst the industry's highest Overall Functionality - Outside their exclusive email management, incomplete. Affiliate System - Weak, no communication / feedback to affiliates Shopping Cart - Basic functions work well but without a robust up sell feature, you'll leave money on the table for sure. Set Up Fee - Very high ...as much as $4,000 depending upon the options, packages and / or promotions in place at the time of purchase. You can often negotiate this fee so if you go with Infusionsoft, make sure you ask to have this price reduced. Most carts will not even charge a set up fee so for Infusionsoft to charge anything is out of line in my book. Complexity - There's a reason that people pay Infusionsoft thousands of dollars for their "support" packages ...and it's not because Infusionsoft is easy to use. If you're a tech-junkie and love figuring things out, then you'll love Infusionsoft. But if you'd rather focus on getting up and running quickly, add $3K to $4K more into your budget to hire some help. CRM Capabilities - An industry leader. | Ease Of Use: | | | Investment: | | | Reliability: | | | Sales Tools: | | | Features: | | | Training: | | | Total: | | Bottom Line: Infusionsoft is one of the better solutions for a very small minority of marketers, but it is too complex, too expensive and missing too many important functions to be a great marketing solution. Best Wishes P.S. Check out my review of Premium Web Cart to see if this solution fits your needs a little better. This is currently my #1 rated shoppingcart / marketing solution.
