Volusion *IS* A Scam |

Just consider the following pointers and compare against the reputable companies out there like Bluehost or PremiumWebCart:
* Volusion has no contact info beyond a 800-number anyone can get
* Volusion boasts NYT, National Geographic, etc. as clients or has their logos on their site...but why? No idea; their logos are just there to provide a veneer of respectability
*Volusion live-chat pop-up request sends you to live chat anyway, regardless of whether you hit the "x" to close it
*Volusion makes you type your question into their chat window but when the representative finally gets to you he asks you "what else may I help you with" (this happens all the time with them)
*Volusion reps take forever to give you the simplest information, such as e-mail contact, what's included, pricing details, etc.
*Volusion reps keep asking you when are you going to sign up
*Volusion reps hang up on you if you ask too many questions
*Volusion's "free trial" doesn't even work half the time!
*You rate your Volusion experience when they ask you and you can't submit your review because the representative (a required field on the form) always suddenly isn't an employee, and the widget won't let you submit the review without an employee name!
Seriously, this company has got a very good slick-lookin' site going that's gonna fool lotsa folks who aren't used to dealing with Israelis! They say they're in Texas but who knows...I just know that they act like New York Jews, the type who spend half their summers in Israel then come back for the new year and all's forgiven by Hashem! |
